This Privacy Policy is made in compliance with Article 13 of the GDPR 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation, European Regulation on the Protection of Personal Data), Recommendation No. 2/2001 of the Working Group ex art. 29 and the General Provision of the Privacy Guarantor on Cookies of 8 May 2014, No. 229.

The following applies only to the site www.gerho.it; the Data Controller is not responsible for the data entered and cookies installed by other sites that may be consulted through links.

Purpose of the processing and obligatory nature of the conferment

Gerhò Spa processes the data that the user spontaneously enters through the forms on the site (Contacts, newsletter subscription etc.) solely to respond to your request. Any further purposes (by way of example and not limited to marketing purposes or communication of your data to companies with which we have a partnership for their own marketing purposes) will be subject to an explicit and motivated request and to your specific, optional and separate consent with respect to that required to answer your questions.

Providing the data and consenting to its processing is necessary to follow up on your inquiries; consenting to its processing for further purposes is optional.

For data acquired by our site through the installation of cookies, however, please refer to the specific section ("Our Site's Cookies").

Methods of processing, automated decision-making processes and data retention times.

The processing of your data is carried out in computerized mode, although potential processing in paper mode is not excluded. No automated decision-making processes are used to process your personal data.

Personal data about you, collected through the forms on our site, will be kept for the time necessary to respond to your requests. Where additional legislation exists to impose a longer retention time, such legislation will be complied with by us. Data collected through cookies will be retained for the period of time stipulated by the individual cookie.

You have the right to ask us at any time for access to the data concerning you, their modification, integration or cancellation, the limitation or opposition to their processing, where there are legitimate reasons, as well as the portability of said data to another Data Controller. You may also lodge a complaint with the National Supervisory Authority where you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully.

Browsing Data

This website implicitly acquires, using Internet communication protocols, for and in the course of its normal operation, some personal data of users accessing the site itself, such as IP address, domain names of computers from which the user accesses, MAC addresses, assigned by the manufacturers of network cards, wireless etc.

This information is not collected to identify users, but may be collected through association and processing, including cross-referenced with third-party data; from this data, statistical information is obtained on the use of the site and its operation, and additional information in the event of ascertaining responsibility in relation to computer crimes.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small strings of text that sites visited by the user install on the user's terminal; these strings are subsequently transmitted back to the site that installed them on the user's next visit. Cookies that are installed directly by Gerhò Spa are called "First-party cookies," while cookies that are installed and acquired by a site other than the one on which the user is browsing are called "Third-party cookies."

Types of cookies

Technical cookies

These are normally installed directly by the site operator and are cookies that enable communication between site and user. They can be navigation or session cookies, designed to ensure the normal navigation and use of the site and usually have a duration equal to that of navigation on the site, or functionality cookies, which allow a better use of the site, such as those related to the choice of site language, the entry in the shopping cart of the purchases chosen etc.

Since these cookies are necessary for the operation of the site, it is not necessary, for their installation on the user's terminal, their prior consent.

Analytical cookies

These are cookies that make it possible to collect information about users, such as the number of users visiting the site and how they visit the site, in a more or less aggregated form. One of the most popular tools for obtaining such statistical reports is Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Inc.

Analytical cookies are assimilated to technical cookies where the information collected is in aggregate form and it is not possible to identify the habits of the individual user; with regard specifically to Google Analytics cookies, it will be necessary to anonymize, at least partially, the IP address of the user visiting the site and eliminate data sharing with Google. Where such anonymization and lack of sharing is not possible such cookies will fall under profiling cookies.

Profiling cookies

These are used to track a user's preference and offer him advertising messages based on the preferences derived. These cookies are particularly invasive and it is necessary to obtain the user's consent before installing them on the user's terminal. In case of use of profiling cookies, it is also necessary to proceed with the Notification to the Privacy Guarantor pursuant to art. 37 paragraph 1 letter d) of Legislative Decree 196/2003.

The banner on first access

The measure of the Guarantor of 8 May 2004 requires, in case of use of cookies other than technical cookies, the preparation of a banner at the first access of the user on the site (cd. short information) which indicates in an essential way what are the modalities of management of cookies by the site, referring to the extended privacy policy.

Gerhò Spa has arranged the above-mentioned banner: by clicking anywhere outside the banner itself the user accepts the installation of cookies and decides to continue the use of the site. Moreover, a specific cookie has been foreseen which memorizes the choice of the user concerning the installation of cookies for 365 days; this means that the user will visualize the cookie only once and if he wants to modify the choices made later on, he will be able to do it by following the instructions in the paragraph "Procedure for the disabling of cookies".
